It’s easy to feel stuck in your routine (both literally and figuratively) when you spend a lot of your time at work, behind a desk. Staying healthy is a challenge for sure, but it’s necessary for your overall wellbeing and happiness.

At Armada, we make this belief part of our culture with a Wellness Initiative that—just like Ultimate Health—aims to make staying healthy more manageable and accessible while still leading a busy work life.

Our wellness program includes yoga and workout classes before and after work, healthy food alternatives stocked in the staff kitchen, work log books to track progress, Lunch and Learn sessions with our Wellness Coach and the support of a company that knows the importance of a healthy lifestyle and strives to make it possible. We don’t stress an ideal weight or body, but instead encourage healthy choices that lead to positive change. And we know it’s hard, so we don’t downplay achievement. Instead, health is celebrated.

Wellness programs are great because they improve and encourage your employees. You need happy, healthy and engaged employees to have a successful, productive and prosperous company. That said, a wellness program won’t work without support from the top, so I’ve decided to lead by example, participating in an active and healthy lifestyle to show my company that it’s what I want for them, too. In turn, I feel that I have my company’s support in my own wellness endeavors. Even if they did challenge me to run a marathon at the peak of our busy season!
